The Nebraska Independent Fabric Shops' 2017 shop hop will be in conjunction with the 150th birthday of Nebraska March 1, 2017. Our theme is "Making History in Nebraska" and it will take place from March 1, 2017 to March 31, 2017.
Celebrate Nebraska's 150th birthday for a month with us.
All of the participating stores will be open from 9am to 8pm on March 1-4 and Sunday, March 5 from 10am to 4pm. Please contact individual shops about their hours for March 6-31. Calico Cottage will be keep it regular hours from March 6 - 31, which is 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. We will be closed on Sundays, etc. for March 5.
You can reserve your shop hop bag for $15.00. They should be available for you to have around February 1st.
Check out our exclusive fabric line to represent our state to make the commemorative quilt that you will be given instructions for in your shop hop bag. At each shop you will be given a free pattern for a 6" block that will help you make the quilt, too.
PLUS YOU CAN COLLECT A UNIQUE WOODEN NICKEL FROM EACH STORE.
Always skinny bolts available at each store. What is a skinny bolt? It is a bolt of fabric with 3 yards or less of fabric left on it. If you purchase the rest of one of these bolts, you can get 30% off of that item.

5TH SATURDAY SALE DAYS
BRING YOUR SHOP HOP BAG TO A PARTICIPATING SHOP AND RECEIVE 20% DISCOUNT ON THE FIFTH SATURDAY OF A MONTH.
There are four times each year when there are 5 Saturdays that occur in a month. When you purchase your 2017 shop hop bag, you may get 20% off of your qualifying purchases at the participating stores on these days. These "Old Bag Days" for this year are April 29, July 29, September 30, and December 30. Each store has the right to post restrictions to what is not included in this promotion in their store.

Hastings Quilters Guild is sponsoring a bus for March 18th. Guild members may register and pay $15.00, non-guild member $20. We will depart Hastings at 8 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. Contact Sharon at 402-462-2644 for registration. The bus will be filled on a first come, first serve bases.

Calico Cottage is proud to announce we are now an official Quilt of Valor shop. We will be carrying lots of patriotic fabric and you will be able to sew on a Quilt of Valor quilt starting in October. AQS Quilt Show
Day One: We will be traveling to St. Louis, MO area with stops at quilt stores. Checking out ALL the wonderful material and supplies at the local quilt shops, before stopping for the night.
Day Two: Today our journey takes us to Paducah, KY. A day of getting acquainted with all there is to see at the AQS Quilt Show. An evening meal and back to our hotel for the night.
Day Three: The day will take us to AQS Quilt show to get all the latest tools and materials, before retiring for the evening.
Day Four: Our journey takes us back to the St. Louis, MO. area, but before heading there we will finish getting those last minute deals at AQS Quilt Show. Also check out quilt shops along the way.
Day Five: This final day of the tour we head home.
